Does a machine take better pictures than a human being?
As a trained photographer I know that it is the person behind the camera that makes those pictures what they are. The person that takes the picture has to program everything to make that unique photo they want. The camera may take the photo, but its the person behind the camera that is creating that image and making it what it truly is. The photographer is responsible for the outcome of the photo, what it looks like, and how it effects people. The photographer creates that photo and makes it look like what they wanted it to look like. Moral of the story, the photographer takes better pictures than the machine.

Why real photographers don't rely on the "auto" seting
Well when taking a picture there are many ways of making that picture better. For instance, during night time photo sessions you can use the night preset to get a better picture. Often times the auto preset over exposes or under exposes the light in any picture. Therefore if you know what your doing you can fix that problem and make the photo as best as it can be.

How i Got Started
Well when I was a child we always went over to my grandma's house. She always had this big camera (I'm not sure what kind) and it took the picture and printed it right on a piece of paper. I thought it was really cool, so everytime we went to her house we would take that camera and take tons of pictures. After that we got the cheap film cameras to mess around with. Now we have a couple digital cameras and we use those for fun!
